Activity Builder: Overview

Have a great idea for an activity? Now, you can integrate the Desmos Graphing Calculator into your very own, customized lesson.

Give the activity a title: This is the title that people will see when you share the lesson and will be visible on the Activity Landing Page (What's an Activity Landing Page?)

Design your lesson: Use graphs, text, student inputs, and images to build an awesome progression of screens. You can also view the lesson from the student perspective by hitting preview.

Describe your activity: Enter keywords and a description that will allow others to better understand your lesson. Add an image to spice up your lesson. These will be visible on the Activity Landing Page. To share your activity with other teachers, the lesson must be public.

Share or Run your activity: Now that you've completed your awesome new activity, you can either run or share your activity. Clicking "Start a New Session" will generate a new class code that can be started at any time - just share the code with your students. You can also share your activity with other teachers who will have the opportunity to run it themselves. (Note: Your activity must be considered public to share with other users)

T - At the moment, there isn't a way to give feedback to students through the activity, but it is on our list!

Is it possible to have students choose answers from a list? For example, choose between Agree or Disagree.

Is it possible to enter the symbol when writing a note in activity builder? I want students to evaluate an inequality I have written in my note, but have been unable to enter the inequality symbol in my note. Thanks, Noirin Foy nfoy@lasdschools.org

I used this Activity Builder last semester and I remember being able to see the student's progress. I used it again today and it was not showing any of the progress of the students. Is this a new feature or are there settings I need to adjust? I use this as my warmup activity and it helps me to know when students are just about wrapped up with the problems.
